Program is the answer to your flea problems!

We have been using Program for our dogs since it was introduced into the marketplace. It may seem expensive, but it does the job like no other product. We were silly enough to try other products and ended up with an infestation of fleas in our house this winter. After a week of being back on Program and spraying the house to rid the place of existing pests with other products, no more fleas and no need to use any other additional method! Our dog is flea free and so is our furniture and carpeting!

Good product

Ihave been using Program for my dogs for several years and it keeps the dogs Flea free

Still Have Flea's

I read a lot of reviews and figured I'd give this product a try. After a week treating all at the same time 4 cats and 2 dogs I still had live active flea's on all the animals. I now have to go find another solution and spend more money which is just aggravating. I do not recommend this. Very unhappy. I have three cats who are allergic to flea bites and dogs who scratch constantly. This did not stop after treatment, I find new bite scabs on the cats and the dogs are still uncomfortable. I hate it when a product does not live up to expectations, and it's advertising claims.

Great Flea Control

The Program Yellow is part of our flea control regimen. I partner Program with Capstar pills. The Program Yellow are in pill form which is easier to administer to my cats than the liquid form of Program for cats. It's important to not break the regimen since it is birth control for fleas. I haven't used anything else since I discovered Program.

lots of flea dirt

I've only used this product for a one-month cycle. Now, when I comb my cats, LOADS of flea dirt (maybe eggs?) are collected in the flea comb. I still see living adult fleas, however, so hoping they will disappear with the 2nd month's treatment. My cats seem unaware that a tab has been crushed up in their food. Highly recommend 'combing and drowning' several times per week to rid the cats of the stuff that dies.

A waste of $40.00

I gave this to my three dogs 12 hours ago and still nothing. Seems a waste of $40.00 I have read all the reviews on this product and most seemed like this would work within an hour. Well still weighting. I must have dogs with supper fleas?

Works for me

When the topicals stopped working. I tried Program. Once it started to work with the fleas life cycle. I love it. I have 2 dogs and this products is still working after 3 years. A lot longer than a topical.

Worked well for a dog with allergies

This was purchased for my dog who has bad skin issues. We were told to avoid topical flea treatments to not further aggravate his skin. These work great for flea treatment for an allergy prone dog or a pup with sensitive skin.

Caused hair loss on my dog

I started giving Program tablets to my dog late summer / early fall last year. I had been using Capstar (which works miraculously but is too expensive to use daily as a stand alone) and read many reviews and articles stating how great Capstar and Program are when used together.

My dog has allergies (nasal and sometimes skin). Her hair started thinning out a little in the back and I just figured it had to do with her skin allergies. It very slowly kept getting worse. I have been trying over and over to figure out if there was something that could have been causing this, I realized it started after giving the Program tablets. I skpped the past month's tablet and hopefully her hair will grow back in. Can't decide on a monthly to use on her, because Frontline Plus gives her hives on her belly. I will continue to use Capstar as needed (a couple times a week or whenever she plays with the neighbor's dog or grass is long/wet and itching starts).

I'm not saying it is a problem for all dogs, but it did cause the hair loss on my dog. This may not be a common side effect, but I can't recommend it to others because of this.

Easier on my dogs than topical flea control

I've used program for years for flea control, and my dogs seem to never have any fleas, even in hot, humid Tulsa. I've tried the topical type flea control products (like Advantage, etc.) and a couple of my dogs had neurological type (at least it appeared this way to me) reactions to it, so I went back to Program. It seems safer, but this is just my lay person's opinion!

Best Flea control product ever.

Last spring we gave the Program Tabs a try because NOTHING worked on Bobby, our cat, the summer before (2009). We actually broke down and bathed Bobby in flea bath products turning the bath water dark pink from dissolved flea pooh (or dried Bobby blood). Never before did we have such a flea problem, and we were ready to try something new. We crushed up a Program tab in a small amount of wet cat food and Bobby never had a clue, ate it all. We used up all 6 tabs over the summer as directed. We never saw a flea on the cat the whole summer. We purchased the Capstar tabs along with the Program tabs but never had to use any last year. We have already started this year's Program tab program on Bobby and our new addition Macks. We HIGHLY recommend Novartis PROGRAM Tabs.

program for cats

I previously used Advantage to take care of my cat's flea problem, and it worked immediately - but my cat absolutely hated the smell which lingered on her body. She would howl and run off when she saw me approaching with the Advantage vial, and I hate being the villain once a month. So now I've switched to Program. It's kind of a pain mashing the tablet and mixing it up into wet catfood. Also, it takes a couple of days to take effect. But - it does work well, and my cat is very happy. I will definitely buy Program tabs again.
